For our all-school October service project, Student Council has decided to partner with Catholic Charities of Louisville to support our Afghan neighbors arriving in our community soon! With 750 people planned to join us in Kentucky over the next few weeks/months, we know our support and assistance are greatly needed. Learn more about the efforts from a recent Archdiocese of Louisville Record newspaper article here.
To assist the efforts, Holy Trinity is specifically collecting the following items next week only, Oct. 11 - 14:
Kitchen Supplies - new or used, in working condition (Think anything you'd use to prepare a snack or meal - pots and pans, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, serving platters/bowls/dishes, dishes for eating, silverware, cups, water bottles, plastic storage containers, etc.)
Vacuum Cleaners - new or used, in working condition
If you'd prefer to send money to Student Council's attention for student leaders to shop for vacuums specifically, you may do so. It should be in a marked envelope - Student Council, Attn: Mrs. Davenport - and sent to the school office.
Students can bring items to school with them during morning drop-off and put them in the collection bins in the Gathering Space or at the school office (both campuses). Families can also bring items with them to conferences next week and drop them in the collection bins, as well.
Questions about this service project can be directed to Mrs. Davenport, Director of Student Activities and Student Council advisor.
